Tithe and Collections

Members of the congregation at The Salvation Army in Ilford give financially towards the life of the Church.

Why?

First, because we trust God.

Giving financially is a spiritual discipline that recognises Jesus is Lord of each part of our life, even our bank account!

Second, because it is an investment in the life of our Church.

The church has financial responsibilities and bills to pay. We value meeting together so play our part in meeting those costs.

Third, because it gives us a strong base to make a difference in our community.

We are well known for addressing needs in Ilford - whether that's by accommodating people who are street homeless, providing basic items like clothing and nappies for a family in need, or sorting out food for people that are hungry. We give to our church so that sometimes we can be God's answer to someone else's prayer.
